Psychological Counselling and Leadership Coaching

in-person and online

By practicing at the intersection of coaching and counselling, I provide comprehensive support through an integrated approach that can help clients make meaningful progress in various areas of their lives, from personal growth and career development to mental health and well-being.  I practice AEDP Psychotherapy, an experiential model that seeks to alleviate patients’ psychological suffering by helping them process the overwhelming emotions associated with trauma in a way that facilitates corrective emotional and relational experiences that mobilize positive changes in our neuroplastic brains.  I offer sessions in person or remotely.

At some point in life, everyone experiences how it feels to be in challenging situations or to be stuck in a negative pattern. Seeking professional help is useful in navigating these situations by providing a space where you can explore your issues without fear or embarrassment, built on a relationship with trust, respect and non-judgment. By seeking therapy or coaching, you demonstrate a willingness to take control of your life and make positive changes, as a means of personal growth and empowerment.

Finding a counsellor or coach that is a great match for you is important. Send me an email or click here to directly schedule a free 20 minute video call to begin the conversation.

How I work

Counselling

I provide counselling for individuals ages 16 and up.  I use an integrative and person-centered approach that incorporates attachment theory, experiential (what is happening in the moment), and psychodynamic (how might the past be affecting the present).  I focus on looking for glimmers of resilience while acknowledging any psychopathological issues. I look at the person holistically – their family history, culture, current environment, relationships and unconscious processes – while leveraging their innate ability to self-actualize and be resilient and honoring their freedom to choose.  I counsel individuals are experiencing inner turmoil in the areas of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, self-harm, stress reduction, grief and loss, family conflict and life transitions.

My approach is grounded in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy.  I am a member of the Swiss Counseling Association and the American Counselling Association.

Coaching

I have 20 years of experience in talent and organizational management and have been coaching leaders for the past 10 years in the areas of authentic leadership, purposeful career development, effective communication and career transitions including retirement. My experience of being in senior leadership has given me insight into how enterprises work, and what makes teams or individuals succeed or fail.  As an ontological coach, I work on three interconnected domains: language patterns, emotional responses and bodily postures.  I help clients create new awarenesses by expanding their repertoire in language,  emotions and physicality.

I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation and trained as an Ontological Coach through Newfield Network.

Industries where my clients come from include: aviation, army and air force, banking, chemical, electronics, energy, fashion, finance, FMCG, health and wellness, media, pharmaceutical, retail, and technology.

In-person or remote

I conduct 50-minute sessions via Zoom or in person.  I currently hold in-person counselling or coaching sessions in Grandvaux.  Click here to schedule an introductory call with me.

About Dianne

I started my career in HR Systems Information Systems using my skills as an Industrial Engineer. After a year, I became a Management Trainee and worked in different facets of the business: Business Strategy, Operations, Marketing and Finance. I went back to HR focusing on Talent and Organizational Development where I spent the rest of my corporate career, working with senior leaders in different countries to enhance leadership effectiveness, manage organizational change and improve organizational culture and employee engagement. Apart from the breadth of functions,  I was also fortunate to be multi-culturally immersed by working and living in various cities like Manila, Hong Kong, Jakarta and now Lausanne.

I noticed that the quality of communication in a team is what determines its success, much more than the effectiveness of its strategy. Coaching leaders on effective communication and emotional intelligence became as important to me as strategic thinking and decision-making. I have been certified as a coach since 2014 and has continued my training path since then.

As I coached more clients, I felt like I was hitting a wall. While their concerns are observed in their work or business environment, they are also seen in their relationships at home–with their spouses, parents, children and with all other people that are important to them. Mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, phobias, substance abuse as well as unresolved traumatic experiences began to be more present in our sessions. It is because of this awakening that I decided to earn my degree in counselling. Therapy training has allowed me to go deeper in exploration with them, be it trauma that they experienced in childhood or attachment issues that they are experiencing currently. It has provided me a holistic way to help my clients achieve lasting positive change that can be felt in their relationships, at work and in the many other ways that they function in the world.

Learning gives me life.  I'm always engaged in deepening my knowledge and skills: cognitively, experientially and spiritually.  Here is a brief summary of education, certifications and memberships (click to see my entry in the organization's directory):

Getting started

Free introductory call

Finding a counselor or coach that is a great match for you is important. Send me an email to schedule a 20 minute video call to begin the conversation.

Initial consultation

If we both feel that working together would be helpful for you to explore, we would arrange a time for an initial consultation.

This is one, or more, 50-minute sessions, where you have the opportunity to see what it would be like to work with me, and I can begin to understand what brings you to counselling, and what our focus might be.  There is no obligation to continue in counselling after the consultation. Some like to book a consultation as a stand-alone piece of work. If you would like to continue together in counselling, we would agree on how it would work best, and I will share a Counselling Agreement with you in order to start the work.

Current availability

Sessions are available Monday – Friday. Evening appointments are very limited currently.
Please get in touch to check on current availability.

Fees and Payment

Currently, I am Self Pay only.  However, if your company wishes to engage me as a coach and cover the cost of my services, I can provide them a contract.
